THE BLUE WOMAN

An astonishing creature who discovers things in the world with the wonder and amazement of a child, like an alien, sometimes like an animal or a clown.
She uses things and tries them out, but never “properly” always exploring with her body, her legs, upside down, awkward but also highly agile, flexible, and skilled, then falling again, stumbling, tumbling. She wants to climb, be upside down, sneaks around things to explore them… Sometimes she lets herself fall completely, as if everything on earth is too much for her, and then lies there like a marionette, seemingly dead, or she falls asleep.
She finds spots to sleep in unusual places, sleeping on stone walls, tree trunks, in the grass, or in the trunk of a car. Then she wakes up again and looks around in wonder, scanning her surroundings as if she were seeing them for the first time.

The Blue Woman can be examined in a feminist discourse and analyzed as a figure in art history, but she will never be fully understood, and she herself knows nothing about it anyway.
